Megan is an exemplary model of a servant leader as she has an impressive dossier of community stewardship. It all started when she arrived in St Croix in 1992 where she learned to sail and ran a therapeutic summer program for the Queen Louise Home for Children.

From there, she began working for the VI Department of Health’s Mental Health division as Director of the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Program. She then worked for Catholic Charities of the VI — first as the Director of the Psychosocial Rehab Program then as St. Croix Director of Programs that offered services to parents, pregnant teens, the homeless, and the mentally ill. Later on, Megan found her home with Lutheran Social Services as Director of Residential Programs for adults with disabilities serving both St. Thomas and St Croix districts.

Megan decided to become a full-time mom to raise her two beautiful boys — now 13 and 19 years old but continued to serve the community in various other ways.  She serves on the Board of The Children's Museum of St. Croix and is on her 3rd term as an Executive Board Member with Lutheran Social Services. She also has also served as a Board Member on the Early Head Start Policy Council and on The St Croix Yacht Club’s Board for 6 years, with her final term being Vice Commodore. She is currently President of the Virgin Islands ILCA/Laser Class under the Virgin Islands Sailing Association (VISA) and Virgin Islands Olympic Committee (VIOC) and is involved in the development of sailing programs for St Croix youth. She is passionate about the Children's Museum of St Croix as it has been a long-time dream of hers to help develop a children's museum for the children and families of St. Croix, as children learn best through play.
