Yvette Ali was appointed Director of the Children's Museum of St. Croix in October 2022, following a 20+ year career working in a broad range of industries in business process and administration.  She has worked in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Mainland U.S., and the United Arab Emirates in the fields of education, local and federal government, petrochemical, retail, and entertainment. Her responsibilities have included program/project management, marketing, technical writing, and human resources experience. Technically savvy, she was quick to champion the opportunity to embrace technology from the earliest days of the Internet.

Yvette is a champion in helping organizations develop strategy, streamline processes and find creative solutions to business challenges. She is known to be driven and focused with the ability to deal with a frequently changing landscape. Yvette holds a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University. She is also a Certified Resume Writer and Six Sigma Black Belt Professional.

Though born in New York, Yvette was raised mostly in St. Croix. She is a chronic baker and sympathetic to cats. In her spare time enjoys the culinary arts, travel, and blogging.

Yvette hopes to bring her unique visioning ability to The Children’s Museum in its continued learning opportunities for children and the development of plans for a permanent space. Yvette accepted this new role with much enthusiasm because she has a deep commitment to her community and believes that we need to invest in our children to create a better tomorrow for St. Croix.
